Funding for 3-4 year olds

The St George's School Shining Stars Pre School is registered with OFSTED to accept children as soon as they reach 3 years of age; however subject to your child’s date of birth, these sessions would need to be paid for.

The 15 hours or 30 hours funding starts from the term following their 3rd birthday.

Terms start on 1st September, 1st January or 1st April.

Before your child starts at the Shining Stars Pre School, you will need to complete a Parent Declaration Form stating how many hours of childcare you wish your child to take up.

Please email preschool@bourton.dorset.sch.uk for a form

FEEE

15 Hours Funding

As a parent/carer of a child aged 3-4 years old, you can take up to 15 hours of free early years provision per week. This is known as your child’s Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE). All children are entitled to these 15 hours per week, starting on the first school term following their 3rd birthday and ending when the child reaches compulsory school age.

30 Hours Funding

An additional free 15 hours per week (i.e. a full-time place) will be available for families where both parents are working or the sole parent is working. Parents will need to apply for this extended entitlement and provide the school with certain information and a 30 hour funding code. To apply for the 30 hours funding please visit the Government website.

https://www.gov.uk/free-childcare-if-working/check-youre-eligible

Parents who wish their child to attend in excess of their funding entitlement (15 or 30 hours) may do so by paying top-up fees – currently £6.25 per hour. We accept tax-free childcare vouchers for payment of childcare sessions and snacks. However the terms and conditions of the tax-efficient childcare scheme does not allow payment of school lunches so these will need to be paid separately.

EFPP

Early Years Pupil Premium

3&4-year-old children who get the FEEE might be able to get the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP).

The EYPP gives providers extra money which they can use to support children’s learning and development.

If you are on benefits and think you may be eligible, please fill in the EYPP voluntary registration form which is available from the Pre School Office.

For any payment or funding queries please also email the Pre School Office on preschool@bourton.dorset.sch.uk
